Troy Davis to be executed tomorrow

While Anonymous is occupying Wall Street, a man in Georgia, Troy Davis, faces execution on 9/21/11 at 7pm.

Troy Davis was convicted of killing a police officer in 1991. While no physical evidence linked him to the crime, he was still given the death penalty.

Davis' last minute appeal was denied today, unfortunately.

While there it is still reasonable that Troy Davis did commit the crime, with no evidence how can he be sentenced to die? The execution should not be happening with no evidence whatsoever, and we should do everything in our power to stop it from happening if possible.

There are 5 things you can do to help and express your outrage;
  1. The DA can't withdraw the death warrant, but Judge Penny Freesemann can. Her number, 912-652-7252. Send her an email too, pfreesemann@chathamcounty.org
  2. Call Nathan Deal, the Governor of Georgia. He has the power to stop the execution. His office number is 404-656-1776. Also send him an email at georgia.governor@gov.state.ga.us
  3. Call the GA Parole Board at 404-656-5651 and leave a message stating Troy Davis should not be executed.
  4. Call the District Attorney anyways, Larry Chisolm, at 912-652-7308.
  5. Call 404-656-5651 and push 2. Add your name to the petition.
  6. Ga executions are performed by Dr. Carlo Musso of CorrectHealth. Call 770-692-4750 and fax him 770-692-4754
