200 Anons shut down three BART stations #lulz #opBART

I admit it, I haven't been paying much attention to the news lately. Not twitter, not anonymous, not /b/, not nothing. I've had my hands full with other shit. Anyways, getting caught up with the news I happened to read this awesome article.

It showed Anonymous managed to shut down down three BART stations with 20 protesters on the evening of August 22nd.

#opbart protestor starts yelling at the crowd "All this over cell phone service?!" to which someone replies "We're protesting the shooting of Oscar Grant!" and someone else yells "I'm not! I'm here about the cell phone thing!". This pretty much sum up the feel of the protest. Many folks upset, but not really over the same things. -@docpop

It just goes to show that there is more media attention due to Anonymous being Anonymous than there are actual people who care to protest. However with a total of 200 protestors and the appropriate propaganda, Anonymous tied up an equal amount of law enforcement resources and train traffic for several hours. It costs Anonymous nothing, yet drains the payroll of BART for riot control.

Three protestors were arrested for interfering with the operation of a railroad.

Ha-ha nice, this goes to show that an angry mob or protest doesn't need to be organized, the people just need to be upset/pissed off...
