Real Estate Adventures - Run Down Edition

Entering this property it is apparent that at some point, maybe 30 years ago, someone spent a lot of time and money turning it into a very nice home.



However, several things quickly become apparent. First, the entire pool area is simply trashed. The deck is rotting. The pool liner is wrecked. The gazebo has giant holes in the ceiling and the roof of the gazebo is no good.



There is a shed on the property that is irreparably damaged by water and the elements. The first thing you'd probably have to do if you bought this home is tear the shed down.



The driveway is at a very bad angle. Obviously any drainage that comes down the driveway will run straight to the foundation of the house. As a matter of fact, one of the garage doors is wrecked at the bottom by dry rot due to the poor drainage.



The roof of the house is also in need of major major repairs.



However, if you are able to overlook these exterior problems, then stepping inside reveals a very quaint and nice interior.



Be forewarned, there are numerous holes in the upstairs ceilings due to rodent infestion in the attic.



I thought the property itself was beautiful. However I will be passing on this due to the general rundown condition of it, and the repairs that would be immediately needed.

This photo illustrates the extremely poor overall condition of the roof. Not to mention the animals that obviously live up there. I can't imagine this house wouldn't need a new roof right off the bat. Possibly tons of water and animal damage to the joists and interior structure as well. I didn't bother to look, I was afraid of being attacked by rabid raccoons/squirrels/rats- whatever the hell is up there.
