Tarded comments about the Lake Peigneur mine disaster

So I was reading about the Lake Peigneur mining disaster in Louisiana. An oil drill was drilling into a lake, and drilled into a salt mine! Anyways, all kinds of awful things happened. You can read the story at this webpage here.

Lake Peigneur: The Swirling Vortex of Doom

It is an interesting story, but what kept me reading were the wonderful comments on the article. Here are a few of them;

"THAT’s damned interesting! I often wondered what damage occurred when the
offshore rigs drill through thousands of feet of rock under the Gulf. Doesn’t
the water leak into the hole and go somewhere?"

Yes, you stupid asshole. All the water floods into Middle Earth. Didn't you know, millions of hobbits, elves, and dwarves drown every year due to flooding related to oil drilling in the gulf of Mexico.

"If they don’t stop taking all the oil out of the earth as well as other countries setting off nuclear bombs under ground, the pace of Earth Quakes will carry on; the techtonic plates need that oil to make it easier to glide centimeter by centimeter year in and year out. Take that away and you leave no lubricant and nice big holes the earth decides to fill up."

This person seems to think that oil drilling removes the lubricant needed for tectonic plates to shift around on the earth's crust.

"Second, is it possible to dive down into the tunnels with SCUBA gear?"

It says the tunnels are 1,300' feet to 1,400' feet deep you stupid asshole. Most SCUBA divers wouldn't go any deeper than 100 feet.

"Oil is not a fossil fuel if comes from below, the Earth’s mantel is the source of methane that turns into oil and black coal."

Sigh...Oil and coal are the definition of fossil fuels.
